Here at GEW we are constantly on the lookout for new ways to bring entrepreneurs together. That’s why we’re such big fans of Dialogue Café. Based on a vision of the café as a breeding ground for great debates and grand designs, Dialogue Café uses state-of-the-art telepresence video conferencing technology to enable conversations globally.
Through this interaction the projects seeks to empower individuals and communities as well as to promote social entrepreneurship, innovation and cross-cultural dialogue. The new non-profit project provides a fantastic way to link events with a focus on social entrepreneurship to kindred spirits across the globe. Dialogue Café has now launched in Lisbon, Rio de Janeiro and Amsterdam, where GEW Hosts are already exploring ways to incorporate the initiative into their campaign. It’ll also be launching centres in London, Sao Paulo, Florence, Oslo and Ramallah in the coming months.
Julie Caulier-Grice of the initiative said "Global Entrepreneurship Week is a fantastic opportunity for young people around the world to come together to learn, share and collaborate. The values of the campaign align closely with those of Dialogue Café and we are excited to see how we can work together.”
Dialogue Café is also organising a range of enterprise-related events focused on enterprise, new models of learning and intercultural dialogue. Dialogue Cafés are open to book by individuals and organizations with a social, educational or cultural mission – including foundations, civil society organizations, grassroots community groups, students, universities, schools, artists, social enterprises, public sector bodies and agencies.
