Last year, a young German entrepreneur went toe-to-toe with a panel of major investors in the Netherlands and emerged victorious during Global Entrepreneurship Week. This year, a new crop of fighters look to take on the investors--and each other.
On the 14th of November, one of the most prestigious ‘pitching’ events during the Global Entrepreneurship Week will take place in Rotterdam (Netherlands). Get in the Ring: The Investment Battle is the platform for ambitious startups to pitch in front of major investors and a wide audience.
Get in the Ring is organized by the Economic Faculty Association Rotterdam (EFR) and the Holland Program on Entrepreneurship (HOPE) and is formerly known as Meet the Dragons.
In this new edition entrepreneurs from all over the world can step into the ring to battle with the champions to secure an investment up to €1,000,000. Get in the Ring gives start-ups a chance to meet their ambitions by introducing them to investors and prove the quality of their ideas in front of an audience filled with investors, business leaders, captains of industry and interested students; gives investors insight into the minds of young ambitious entrepreneurs who are presenting their ideas; gives students interested in entrepreneurship a close up of startups as well as a possibility to talk about their own plans with prominent participants of the event.
The competition consists of three main rounds. First an international selection round is organized by partners, which will select the best startups of their country. In this round only the best start-ups will be selected for the international semi-finals. The semi-finals are held on the 1st of November and only the 10 best start-ups will be selected for the finals on the 14th of November.
